Answers to the questions we hear most about playing, scores and duels on Playbit.

Do I need an account?

No. Playbit has no sign-up. On your first visit your browser is given an anonymous guest id, and the first time you finish a game we ask for a nickname once. You can accept the suggested one.

Because the guest id lives in this browser, your records stay with this browser and device. Clearing site data or switching browsers starts a fresh guest.

How do scores and leaderboards work?

Each game starts a short-lived session. When the run ends, your score is checked against that game's limits (maximum score, minimum duration) and saved with your nickname.

  • The per-game leaderboard shows each player's best run for that game.
  • The overall ranking adds up your best score in every game you've played.
  • Runs that fail the checks are rejected silently; nothing is stored.

How do 1v1 duels work?

On a game page press Challenge a friend, then send the invite link. When your friend opens it a 5-second countdown starts and you both play the exact same board on the same clock.

Opponent progress updates about once a second. The winner is decided by the server once both final scores are in. Either player can start a rematch from the result screen.

Only games with a duel timer support challenges.

Can I change my nickname?

Nicknames are set once per guest and appear on leaderboards with your best runs. If you need it changed or removed, contact us at devtimeslab.@gmail.com with the nickname and roughly when you played.

Partner games

Some titles are built by partner studios and run inside Playbit or on the partner's own site. They're marked with the partner's name on the card. Scores from embedded partner games go through the same checks as ours; games that link out are governed by the partner's own terms.

Language

Playbit is available in English and Korean. Use the EN / KO switch in the header. Game text itself (Score, Combo, Start) stays in English by design.
