Privacy Policy
Playbit is built to work without accounts. This page explains the little we do collect and why.
Last updated September 18, 2026
What we collect
- Guest id: a random identifier created in your browser on first visit and stored in your browser's local storage. It is not linked to your name, email or any account.
- Nickname: the name you enter (or accept) after your first game. It is shown publicly on leaderboards and in duels.
- Gameplay records: game played, score, run duration, and the time of the run, tied to your guest id.
- Duel data: the match you joined, your nickname, live and final scores, and the result.
- Technical data: your IP address is used in memory to rate-limit requests. It is not written to our database.
How we use it
To run the service: saving scores, building leaderboards, matching duel opponents and preventing abuse. We do not sell or rent this data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Analytics
We may use Google Tag Manager to load analytics tags that measure how the site is used (pages viewed, games started). These tools can set cookies or use similar identifiers in your browser. Where the law requires it we'll ask before loading them. You can block them with your browser or a content blocker without affecting gameplay.
Where data lives
Gameplay records are stored with Supabase, our database provider, and the site is served through our hosting provider. Both act as processors on our behalf.
Partner games
Games from partner studios may run inside an embedded frame or on the partner's own site. Embedded games only exchange gameplay messages with Playbit; anything the partner collects on its own site falls under the partner's privacy policy.
Your choices
- Clearing this site's data in your browser removes your guest id and nickname from the device. Past scores stay on leaderboards under that nickname until you ask us to remove them.
- To delete your nickname and scores, email devtimeslab.@gmail.com with the nickname you used.
- Playbit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes we'll update the date above. Questions go to devtimeslab.@gmail.com.
